Pigeons and Plantain

Watford Museum

Pigeons and Plantain, written and directed by Afia Nkrumah, reimagines traditional West African myth and culture through the story of a troubled teenager and her extraordinary aunt. This is a script-in-hand performance which is followed by a Q&A that examines and celebrates Black women centred storytelling in Black History Month 2021.

TV and theatre writer and director Afia Nkrumah’s recent credits include Call The Midwife (BBC) and Coronation Street (ITV).

“A wonderful premiere for the Watford Fringe” (The Dial Up Review, on our 2020 performance of How to Space by Anna Reynolds)
