As part of the spirit of #WatfordTogether, the Pump House is proud, with amazing help from its brilliant community of volunteers, to find a way to reopen and continue the Watford Fringe for all to enjoy art again. Four years ago, this quirky community theatre had a seed of an idea, “Lets do a Watford Fringe!”.
Four years ago, the Pump House as the quirky local theatre and hub for emerging talent thought, “Lets do a Watford Fringe!”. Four years later it is going from strength to strength, and this year there will be over 50 acts in The Pump House Theatre and Watford Museum. Covid19 safety measures are in place to make sure this festival is as safe as possible. We gain great experience through this challenging period and safety will come first for this Festival. Under current rules there will be full capacity audiences but with some additional measures still in place. We will also be streaming some of the performances as well as having some digital only shows. Therefore, if you are at home and still want to join in you can!
With Watford Borough Council, Warner Bros. Studios and other partners supporting the publicity we are ready and now just need, you, the public to come along.
No Fringe however would be complete without an amazing line up. There are several award winning 5 star plays that could not perform this year at other Fringes such as Edinburgh Festival past hit shows; Musical Plays; Comedians; Jazz; Folk; Indie Music; Rock Music; Musical Theatre; Dancing; Workshops; An Orchestra; Poetry; Musicians; Children’s acts; magicians; Art; Choirs; DJ’s and much, much more. There may also be food, drink (depending on the current rules and availability) at some venues and of course a warm welcome.
As well as the fabulous acts and venues this wonderful vibrant Festival, is run 90% by dedicated volunteers, which makes this Watford Fringe Festival so special.
