St John’s Church
A beautiful, grade II listed church in easy walking distance from the town centre and Watford Junction station. A flexible space with excellent acoustics which makes it a perfect venue not just for live music, but also for threatre, lectures/spoken word and group activities. We host and organise classical and choral concerts, and in 2025 started a successful Jazz concert series called "Conversations in Jazz". In 2026 the series has expanded further, with 6 new concerts planned. It has hosted artists such as Ilario Ferrari, Omar Puente, Mara Ashton, Randolph Matthews, Charlie Pyne and Henry Spencer.
Note: The church is a 5-minute walk from the Harlequin centre, and just under 10-minute walk from Watford Junction train station. There is reasonably priced parking available at Sutton Road carpark. There is an artisan coffee shop across the road from the church, and two local pubs (one of which serves food) are a 1-minute walk away.
