Tabla - The Melodic Rhythms is a North Indian Classical Tabla solo performed by Puish Kumar Engineer. A pair of hand drums with a rich background of rhythmic pieces dating back over five hundred years; Puish performs improvisations on these pieces, creating spontaneous patterns, cross rhythms and grooves. Puish Kumar Engineer is one of the UK's most finest Tabla players, with rigorous classical training in the Benaras tradition under the torch bearer of said style, Pandit Sanju Sahai. He has performed, collaborating in various genres all over the UK in venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Royal Philharmonic Hall, The Bridgewater Hall just to name a few. He has toured across Europe and performed in India on the deeply spritual banks the river Ganges (Ganga).
He is a dedicated musician and also loves to teach his art, sharing all he has learnt to those who share his passion.
