Comedy Hotspot brings you another night brimming with comedic excellence and featuring some of the best stand-up acts currently doing the national comedy circuit.
July's line-up, especially for the Watford Fringe Festival features:
KAREN BAYLEY
Karenhails from Birmingham and has been on the circuit for over two decades. She made a name for herself early on in her career reaching the semi-final of the prestigious BBC New Comedy Awards and was later crowned the winner of the 2001 Komedia New Act prize. She followed this by becoming the first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award as well as reaching the finals of both the BBC New Comedy Awards Showcase and Babycham Funny Women.
Delightfully saucy, her friendly and confident stage presence, combined with a killer wit, an infectious giggle and some devastating one-liners make her a comedic force to be reckoned with a warm and welcoming with a delightfully saucy and spiky edge, her bold, no nonsense attitude strikes a perfect pitch with men and women alike.
KEVIN DANIEL
Kevin is an award winning comedian, who has established himself as one of the hottest up and coming acts on the UK comedy circuit. He is regularly booked by some of the most well–established comedy promoters across the UK, his commanding stage presence, relatable exquisite storytelling, and well–crafted jokes always leave audiences wanting more. In 2024 he won the prestigious Silver Stand Up competition at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
MAD RON
Mad Ron – The Third Hardest Man in Uxbridge, is a comedy creation of Steve Lee, first appearing on the comedy circuit back in December 2015. Mad Ron has taken the circuit by storm. Now a multi award winning act, Mad Ron also finished 3rd in the prestigious 2019 NATY’s.
SEAN COLLINS
Throughout his illustrious career, Sean has headlined at prestigious comedy clubs such as The Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, and Yuk Yuk's. His talent knows no borders, as he has regaled audiences in the UK, Canada, USA, and various other countries. Notable highlights include stellar performances at renowned comedy festivals like Edinburgh Fringe, Just for Laughs, and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Sean's television appearances on shows like Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow on BBC1 and The World Stands Up' for comedy central have demonstrated his ability to connect with a wide range of viewers.
